New Boarder Arrivals
New Boarders and their families are invited to attend the New Boarders Orientation on Monday 26 January 2026.
This event will commence at 10:00am with a presentation hosted by the Director of Boarding, Stewart Drinkeld, who will cover some important topics and introduce some of our staff who will be a part of your son’s life in Boarding, such as:
- Boarding House Mother, Ms Anne Usher
- Deputy Director of Boarding, Mr Jason Ralph
- Student Counsellor, Ms Lorna Shepherd
- Indigenous Officer, Mr Kyle Kennedy

New parents and students will have the opportunity to meet other families over a shared lunch in the Dining Hall.
Please arrive between 9.00am and 9.30am. Parking will be available on Woodend Road and families will be met by Boarding Prefects to help direct you where to go. Please leave your luggage in the vehicle at that point to prevent having to move it unnecessarily before your son is allocated a room.
Parents and siblings are all welcome to this lunch and we ask that you register your families’ attendance using the following link:

Following lunch our new parents are asked to say their ‘good-byes’ so the boys can move into their new bedroom with the assistance of our Boarding staff.
Boarding Parents
Sometimes you just need to speak to another parent who has a little more experience being a Boarding Parent. You are encouraged to join Facebook Group (using the link at the bottom of this page) so you can keep in touch with other families and keep updated with boarding activities.
