Transport

We operate daily private bus services within Ipswich and the western suburbs of Brisbane as far north as Indooroopilly, east to Sunnybank Hills, and south to Greenbank and Springfield.

We are ideally located in Ipswich, just 25 minutes from Brisbane’s western suburbs and as one of Queensland’s first schools, our proud heritage is only matched by our progressive outlook, welcoming boys from near and far.

Ipswich Grammar School is located in Darling Street, Ipswich. We are 10 minutes drive from the Motorway and 45 minutes from the international and domestic airports. Public transport is also easily accessible with our campus, only an 11 minute walk from Ipswich Railway Station, and public buses also run regularly.

Charter Bus Service

We operate daily private bus services for students of Ipswich Grammar and Ipswich Girls' Grammar within Ipswich and the western suburbs of Brisbane as far north as Indooroopilly, east to Sunnybank Hills, and south to Greenbank and Springfield. Responsive to our growing community, additional bus routes are added as the need arises.

Buses depart from Ipswich Grammar from 3.05pm with additional services available on Monday to Thursday for students staying late for sport, cultural activities and study.

Wet Weather

During extreme weather conditions that may cause flooding, Wet Weather routes for Bus 8 (Kenmore), Bus 10 (Moggill) and Late Bus A (Kenmore) will be activated.

Notifications will be sent via Schoolbox and the BusMinder App as early as possible in these circumstances. We monitor road closures and where possible we will provide updates before the route commencement however, on occasion, on-route diversions may be neccessary.

Wet Weather routes have a reduced footprint in these suburbs to prioritise safety and avoid flood-impacted zones. This may mean that your regular stop is not available or that the route takes longer than normal to reach the destination. This may cause inconvenience to our parents however in these circumstances, we trust our families will assist us in assessing the best available alternate bus stop for the quick and safe transportation of our boys.
