Ipswich Grammar School has been steeped in history since its official opening in 1863. The Latin-penned motto of Labore et Honore, Work and Honour, rings true now as it did all those years ago.

Since its inception, Ipswich Grammar School has produced distinguished citizens, innovators and leaders in the fields of politics, engineering, education, literature, military, science, music, medicine, law, sport, commerce, industry and the trades.

While students' time at Ipswich Grammar may be short, their legacy continues.
