The name Ipswich Grammar School is synonymous with Athletic excellence. Ipswich Grammar school has dominated the GPS, State and National Schoolboy Athletics scene for over 20 years.

The Athletics program has secured 16 GPS titles, 7 National Knockout titles and 20 State Knockout titles. The program has seen many National Medallists and literally hundreds of State Medallists.

The school’s athletic program is both dynamic and progressive, with well qualified individual coaches for all athletic disciplines. Ipswich Grammar School athletes are well prepared for GPS, State and National events with the training running from August to December.

Despite being an individually based sport, a very real team mentality and culture exists at Ipswich Grammar School. There is a very real sense of pride in being part of the Ipswich Grammar School Track and Field team.
