Welcome to the Ipswich Grammar School Chess. The school has been rewarded with an excellent group of students participating in Chess from Years 8 through to Year 12.

IGS endeavours to provide a challenging and enjoyable environment for all our players ranging from those who wish to play socially to those who wish to develop their chess talents to a high level. Ipswich Grammar School students compete in GPS Chess competitions as well as several other tournaments (including in-house) throughout the year.
