About BASC
Ipswich Grammar School provides Before/After School and Vaction Care for students from Prep to Year 7.

Before and After School Care provides children with a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment that supports
the needs of the family.
Children have the opportunity to pursue play activities of their choice working in their own individual way and at
their own level of development.
The activities and experiences planned are designed to help develop the social, intellectual, cultural and physical
abilities of each child. The quality of care received by children during play signifi cantly nurtures in each child’s
knowledge of their rights, responsibilies, values, beliefs and an understanding of others.
The centre is located in the Early Childhood Precinct (Room J20) and has access to all school facilites such as the
sports dome, tennis court, pool, playgrounds and ovals.
